How many years apart are BS and AD?
The BS year starts on Baisakh 1 (around 13–14 April) while the AD year starts on 1 January (around Poush 16–17). So subtract 57 from the BS year between Baisakh 1 and 31 December, and 56 from 1 January to the end of Chaitra. For month and day use the converter above, because the length of BS months changes from year to year.
How accurate is this converter?
